Martha Jane Mulholland to consign Rosalind to Fasig Tipton November
Rosalind, who finished in a dead-heat for first in the Central Bank Ashland Stakes (gr. I) last spring, will be offered for sale at the Fasig-Tipton November sale Nov. 3 in Lexington. Martha Jane Mulholland, agent, will consign the 3-year-old Broken Vow filly as a racing/broodmare prospect on behalf of her owner Ray Struder's Landaluce Educe Stables. In the Ashland April 5 at Keeneland, Rosalind finished in a dead-heat with Room Service for her first stakes win. She was a debut winner at age 2 and multiple grade 1-placed, including her third-place finish, beaten just a half-length, in the 2013 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Santa Anita Park. She also was second in the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland and third in the Pocahantas Stakes (gr. II) at Churchill Downs. A winner on both dirt and synthetic surfaces, Rosalind has earned $604,536 while compiling a 2-1-3 record from 10 career starts. "Rosalind is such a special horse and has provided me with the thrills of a lifetime," Struder said in a release. "However, she is also a very valuable filly, and her sale will guarantee our racing and breeding operation's long-term stability for years to come. It is for this reason that I have decided to offer her at Fasig-Tipton this fall." Kentucky-bred Rosalind is out of the winning Theatrical mare Critics Acclaim. She is a half sister to stakes-placed American Diva and four other winners. Rosalind is currently training for a start at the upcoming Keeneland fall meet.
